Steampunk

creating a Steampunk character;

these are images that i am using as a base for my steampunk character.

this is the start off ideas that i had for the character i am making.

these are sketches and rough ideas that i had at the start with looking at the images that i used as a reference.

Steampunk can range from simplistic to a more in depth detailed style. its style is Victorian era mixed with the mechanics of steam powered objects.

the style i am going for is looking at the fashion with a spin. i want to look at the design a show a development of steampunk where its not just gears and cogs.

To start off with from my sketches i chose one design that i could use as a colour exploration. 

The design i am looking at the moment has a large but very simplistic steampunk effect. i was going with a more waitress type style or 

i was thinking about the design that i had sketched and while i find its good i wanted to add a more complex design. to show another idea. i gave her a gun on and in a mechanical arm, while also changing the style of out fit that i would normally do for a steampunk character.

 

She has a larger hood as well, which is cover by the corset. i saw the fashion side of this project more as sometimes the clothes create the character or brings them to life.

at the moment it just colour adjustments and matching the effect that i want the character to give off.
